It’s finally June, and you know what that means… Summer is upon us! You all know I live for a Fall moment and all things sweater weather, but I also have such a pure love for summertime. Endless glasses of ice tea, the beach glistening during summer sunsets, time with my beautiful boys, flowy dresses with fab sandals, and of course working away on light and airy knit/crochet projects!
As the days stretch luxuriously long, it's time to swap out our cozy wool skeins for vibrant cottons, breezy bamboos, and luxe linens. I can’t wait to be knitting under the summer sun! ☀️ The GOOD NEWS is I have begun remaking the Honeycomb Dreams top with Jeanie’s (Fiber Genie Yarn Co.) gorgeous hand-dyed sari silk and it’s beyond luxurious! I’m hoping to get this finished pattern to you in the very very near future so you can wear it on those breezy summer nights!! Twirl!! Testing call coming soon!
☀️ Dani and I have been diligently working on something super fabulous coming soon to VRK. I don’t want to give it all away yet but it involves yarn, the witchy vibes of Stevie Nicks, and an entire stitching experience! Stay tuned, Stitch Witches. . . something wicked (and freaking fabulous) this way comes!
☀️ Today marks 2 years since my Dad passed. He was love, light and the best Dad there ever was. To say I miss him everyday is an understatement, he was one of the loves of my life and there is a hole in my heart that will always be there without him in the world. I look for him everyday in butterflies, signs, and the crooked sweet smiles of my sons. His very last words to me before he passed were “I love you, I love you”. What a gift to be so loved by someone. I guess that’s why it hurts so much that he is gone. Tell your people you love them, show up for them when you can and love them with all you have. Sending you all hugs.
